Who we are: Jessica Rust is the founder and principle designer of Rust Designs. Her signature style – whimsical, hand drawn designs inspired by nature - has made her dinnerware designs some of the most sought-after and recognizable in the industry. After a childhood spent under the overcast skies of Cleveland, Ohio, at 18 Jessica relocated to the sunnier, warmer climes of Los Angeles to study at Parson’s School of Design. After a year in the sun, she transferred to Parsons’ New York City campus, where she completed her degree in Product Design. In the years since leaving Parsons, Jessica has worked for companies as familiar and nearby as Ralph Lauren and as far-flung as the Turkish textile firm Yatas. She’s had the opportunity to live in New York, Paris, San Francisco and Minneapolis. Now, she’s back in Los Angeles once more. Jessica and her designs have been featured in numerous publications, including but not limited to, Real Simple, O at Home, Country Living and Design*Sponge. Rust Design was also a featured on the Today Show.
